“You say you want a revolution/ Well, you know/ We all want to change the world”

 

Although ‘Revolution’ by the Beatles was written 52 years ago, we couldn’t find any better lyrics to describe 2020. This is why we decided to close out the year with a very special Winter issue dedicated to revolutions both big and small. From the act of creating to acts of service, it’s been decades since we saw a generation so eager to change the world, and what better way to start a new decade than by getting rid of the old and antiquated?

 

While we don’t what to romanticize the dumpster fire that was 2020, we think it’s important to give credit where credit is due. Zillennials marched in the streets in solidarity with Black Lives Matter, stayed home to safe lives, and elected some of the most diverse politicians we’ve ever seen, all while taking their classes online.

So even when you’re feeling down, just remember- YOU DID THE DAMN THING!  Even if the ‘damn thing’ was deciding to love yourself that morning.
